Within the project “Green Agenda: Decarbonization of the Electricity Sector in the Western Balkans”, there is a need to engage an energy sector expert in implementation to provide technical assistance to the project team in terms of energy sector analyses, renewables grid integration and horizontal advisory to the project manager.
Tasks of the consultant is to prepare specific outputs:
• Analysis of grid infrastructure and recommendations to achieve generation, transmission and distribution adequacy for a target share of RE in the generation mix
• Country-specific background research on RE integration in electricity markets
• Horizontal advisory support to GIZ

Interested consultants should provide the following:
• at least 2 reference projects in energy sector and
• at least 1 reference projects in Eastern/Southern Europe in the last three years with a minimum commission value of 5000 EUR
Please note that all correspondence and dealing with the GIZ must be in English.
The project has a regional scope in Western Balkans and is financed by German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and development (BMZ).
Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
